“Got Analytics, Awesome! Now What?” Presentation

Did you miss our presentation on March 24 at the MCN Tech Conference? Perhaps you’ve been waiting for the chance to relive the excitement? Or maybe you just heard that our use of Prezi made for a really cool alternative to the usual PowerPoint slide slinging. Whatever your motivation, the wait is over.

If you’re interested in some of the specific examples that we shared during the presentation, stay tuned to this feed for future posts where I’ll break down some of the ways that nonprofits can use Google Analytics to track performance on common web goals like increasing user engagement through better site design, using social media to extend the reach of your organization, and more.

I’ve already posted one entry on how you can use Google Analytics Event Tracking to keep tabs on how many people are clicking through to your third-party donation service like GiveMN or PayPal which you can read here. If you have any specific questions to about GA that you’re wondering about, please share them by commenting on this post. Your question will be followed up on, and may be fodder for a future entry.

Special thanks to the three people who allowed me to interview them for this presentation — Laura Matanah, Executive Director at Rainbow Rumpus; Ashley Schweitzer, Marketing Coordinator at Nonprofits Assistance Fund; and Kevin Walker, Communications Coordinator at the First Universalist Church of Minneapolis. And of course, thanks to Jeff Hahn, Owner and CEO of Internet Exposure, who lent me his guidance, 14+ years of expertise and prodigious Prezi skills to make the presentation possible.

As for myself, I’ll be sharing some of the resources I’ve refined over the year since my presentation at the last #MNnptech. [...]
